Emil Hvelplund is an architect and educator based in Copenhagen and Basel.
He is currently teaching at The Royal Danish Academy School of Architecture under the BA Program Finder Sted l Taking Place. His work ranges from theoretical inquiries into the everyday of architecture.
In collaboration with Ester Alemayehu and Jakub Andrzejewski he runs the practise 321 that deals with the intersections of art and architecture.
Emil is the head and co-founder of Paraply school - A program that explores the future of architecture through practical speculation.
Along with Silvia Cipeletti he founded the cinematic research unit 'Moving Landscape' exploring a critical view on the sustainable futures for lands and cities in transformation.
Emil holds a MSc from Accademia di architettura di Mendrisio in Switzerland, and a B.arch from the Royal Danish Academy in Denmark.
